The origins of Texas Caviar can be traced back to the 1940s, when a woman named Helen Corbitt, a famous chef in Texas, created the original recipe. Corbitt's creation quickly gained popularity and became a signature dish at the Driskill Hotel in Austin. Over the years, the recipe has evolved, with many variations and additions, but the essence of Texas Caviar remains the same - a delicious and healthy dish that can be enjoyed as a dip, salad, or side dish. Whether served with tortilla chips, as a topping for grilled meats, or as a side to barbecue, Classic Texas Caviar is a timeless favorite that embodies the flavors and spirit of Texas cuisine.
