1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
cooking spray
8 lasagna noodles
32 spears fresh asparagus, trimmed
8 extra-long chives
1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
2 tablespoons tiny capers
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon caper brine
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
½ teaspoon lemon zest
8 slices smoked salmon
½ cup freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons grated onion
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground paprika

Combine water, olive oil, and 1 teaspoon salt in a large pot; bring to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles in the boiling water until tender yet still firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
